Re Mida. I maghi del riciclaggio creativo
giugno 23 @ 16:00 - 16:45 CEST
REMIDA, created in 1996 in Reggio Emilia, is a cultural project of sustainability, creativity and research on waste materials. It promotes the idea that the gap, the imperfect, is the bearer of an ethical message, able to solicit reflections, to propose itself as an educational resource, thus escaping the definition of uselessness and rejection.
REMIDA’s materials come from around 200 companies that dispose of waste products, bankrupt materials, warehouse funds or excess production destined for disposal, which the Center recovers and proposes as a subject to be investigated.
The Center is visited every year by over 3,000 people including teachers, artists, students, administrators and curious from all over the world. Organize meetings with schools of all levels, training courses and events with the city. REMIDA is a project of the Schools and Nurseries of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia and Iren. Its management is entrusted to the Reggio Children
Foundation – Loris Malaguzzi Center. It makes use of a network of volunteers who share and support its aims.
Workshop for children aged 9 and up in the library room + video screening in recycling (duration 50′).
