The second edition of the international EarthPrize 2019 award will take place in Luino, on Lake Maggiore. It takes up the successful form of the previous year but with a new focus: the global climate crisis.
The event will highlight the ways in which the press, film, radio, television and digital media have communicated these sensitive issues and expressed the need for a global commitment.
Remember that EarthPrize was born from the idea that Environmental Education is essential for the survival of our species and of central importance for the economy, peace and health of all. Its mission is to identify and recognize people, organizations and projects that have contributed with their ideas, actions or innovations to convert collective behavior towards more sustainable lifestyles, with best practices, literary and popular works, films and television broadcasts, landscape projects, communication campaigns, studies and research. Actions and ideas replicable in other parts of the world, which aim to protect and enhance landscapes and environmental resources, in the light of the climate changes taking place.
The preview of the event will be on Wednesday, September 11th at 10:00 a.m. at Palazzo Pirelli in the Lombardy Region. EarthPrize 2019: Attention to the climate that changes will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 12 and 13 October at Palazzo Verbania in the municipality of Luino sul Lago Maggiore.
